Lower Limb Tendinopathy
The assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of lower limb tendinopathy – biomechanics and contemporary pain science, translated into clinic-ready tools.
What you’ll be able to do
Led by one of the world’s leading tendon researchers
Prof. Ebonie Rio, Ba App Sci, Ba Phys(Hons), Masters Sports Phys, PhD, is a leading researcher and clinician in tendon rehabilitation. Her PhD in tendon pain and motor control has transformed how clinicians understand and treat tendinopathy, particularly in athletes and active populations.
Ebonie has worked across elite sport – including the Australian Ballet, AFL and Olympic teams – and is a Senior Research Fellow at La Trobe University, where her work bridges neuroscience, biomechanics and clinical translation. She is known for making complex science accessible and clinically meaningful – something that shines through in her teaching.
Make complex tendon rehabilitation clear, evidence-based, and practical.
This course is for physiotherapists, podiatrists, exercise physiologists, osteopaths, chiropractors and any health professional who works with people with lower limb tendinopathy.
Tendon pain is one of the most common presentations in musculoskeletal practice – and one where the research has moved far beyond wait-and-see and rigid protocols. This course closes the gap: what tendinopathy actually is, how to assess and differentiate it, and how to rehabilitate it by combining biomechanics with contemporary pain science.
